The Citi Education Series on Family Economic Security at the National Women's Law Center is designed to improve the economic and educational opportunities of low-income women and their families. Current areas of focus include:

- Career and Technical Education
- Child Support
- Retirement Security

These free online trainings help advocates and service providers work with families in their communities.

In 2010, nearly 4.7 million more women than men lived in poverty.
More than 1 in 4 (25.3%) girls drops out of school each year.
Even with Social Security, over 17% of elderly women living alone were poor in 2009.
Based on enrollment data from 2002 to 2004, girls comprised less than one-quarter of students enrolled in traditionally male career and technical education classes in subjects like agriculture (25%), precision production (17%), engineering (17%), construction and repair (10%), and automotive (9%).
